So this special day snuck up on me rather quickly. Thank you to our friend and dear customer for reminding me that this day was intact TODAY and not tomorrow. For I would have missed it!
When we picked the name of our farm we did not have a business in mind per say. Rather we wanted to name this little patch of earth that God gave us after someone who would watch over it and guide it. Today I want to share that story with you all.

It’s the dog days of summer, but I am one that is in perpetual Autumn mode. And I enjoy desserts with a slightly spiced note. That is what put me in the mood to develop this recipe for white chocolate cherry pound cake using St. Fiacre’s Farm, Cherry City Chai tea blend. Most of us enjoy cooking and baking, and making things look and taste great. And many of us are realizing we have sensitivities and allergies to certain foods and preservatives. I discovered I was gluten intolerant five years ago. I thought my baking days were over.

Well this farm was that for me. I had been wanting to go take the tour of this lovely goat milk farm that I had been following on social media for some time. Thing after thing would come up though and we just never made it. Well, over a year later we finally got to make our trip over to Bend, Oregon to visit Bend Soap Co.!
Did you ever have a cup of green tea and think, "WOW! That's bitter!"
That was totally me! Why would anyone drink this horribly bitter tea. Sure it's good for you, it's helpful in weight loss. Green tea is high in antioxidants and a wealth of other good for you things. But it was soooo bitter!
Turns out that green tea isn't so bad if it is steeped the right way! A little attention to the steeping time and temperature will go a long way in making the perfect cuppa green tea.
